Hiking

Poludnig alm – Dellacher alm – Egger alm

A path runs straight through the beautiful high Alpine area between Egger Alm and Dellacher Alm, connecting both mountain villages. The difference in height between the alpine meadows is minimal. The relaxation factor is all the greater when you immerse yourself in this natural landscape, which is characterized by lush green alpine meadows, the view of the nearby Poludnig and the sparkling Egger Almsee, which comes very close along the way. Rest areas with benches along the 3.8 kilometer route invite you to consciously pause and enjoy the surroundings.

The Poludnig is a “barely two-thousander” in the Carnic Alps with a great view at the top. For example to the Großglockner, the Hohe Tauern and to the Julian Alps in Slovenia and Italy.

Zuchen waterfall

The path runs largely through the forest to the waterfall, which with its fall of almost 60 meters is particularly impressive in spring and after heavy rainfall.
In the area the ground is covered with snow roses in spring, later you can find Siberian irises and many cyclamens.
You can start at the Europarcs campsite, which is 6 kilometers away from Haus Nampolach, and then follow the yellow signs Zuchen nr 16.

Garnitzenklamm

A gorge that you definitely don’t want to miss is the Garnitzenklamm. This gorge is 10 kilometers away.
Over the course of history, the Garnitzenbach has dug a 4.5 kilometer long gorge in the rocks of the Carnic Alps, creating a breathtaking natural jewel.

Thundering waterfalls, steep rock faces, emerald green bays, colorful rock and rock formations, spectacular climbing systems and rare, protected plants and whirlpools formed over millions of years make the gorge one of the most beautiful in the Alps.
